| Description: | The Dandelion can be found all over Europe and has always been a favourite for children to play with to tell the time. This is a macro photograph of a dandelion head after the flower has died. This Dandelion photograph shows a full head of seeds waiting to be blown apart. The wind will blow the seeds away from the dandelion and their white parachutes will drop off when the seed hit an object. This is why you will mainly see dandelions growing near walls and fences. In this picture of a Dandelion there is a slightly warm light hitting the seeds and illuminating the individual parachute hairs. Most dandelions photographs usually show a child blowing the seeds away on a sunny day; however this photograph of a dandelion is slightly more abstract as it only shows the head of the Dandelion. There are also many photos of dandelions in flower, dandelion flowers are a yellow or sometime orange colour and are often perceived as weeds in the UK.
