| Description: | This photograph is a different take on sunsets in North Devon, instead of the usual image of the sun setting on the horizon. Photographer Andy Wheatley took this shot on Westward Ho Beach in North Devon. The pebbles form part of the famous Pebble Ridge which is a manmade ridge of pebbles which protect the Royal North Devon Golf Club from flooding in the winter. Without it the golf coarse would become totally saturated on spring tides. This sunset picture shows a warm golden light being reflected on a smooth pebble, sunset pictures always give a feeling of warmth and summer and this is shown in this photograph of a sunset. Although it does not actually show the sunset itself it still evokes the same feeling.
